Coaching

Undoubtedly the most satisfying work we have undertaken in the last 12 years has been in the area of one-to-one personal coaching.

Because the demand has increased, we now include Coaching on some of our programmes when we discuss the subject in plenary and share Sir John Whitmore’ GROW model with the participants before giving them a chance to practice on each other. On other programmes, each individual enjoys the opportunity of discussing their issues privately and confidentially with an experienced and professionally qualified coach.

What emerges from these interactions is that coaching is often relegated to the ‘desirable’ category of skills instead of the ‘necessary’ one. Every manager and leader has ‘coaching’ as one of their prime responsibilities. Otherwise their organisation is in danger of stagnating, with good people leaving to find opportunities for further personal development.
